What Is Giteki Certification?
To use equipment that transmits radio waves in Japan, obtaining the “Giteki Mark”, which certifies that the equipment conforms to technical standards, is mandatory.
Therefore, using products that have not obtained Giteki certification in Japan may constitute a violation of the Radio Act.
Use with a Wired Connection
Even if a product has not obtained Giteki certification, there is no problem with using it via a wired connection. Please use it via a wired connection.
About Wireless Connections
There have been no past cases of anyone being penalized for using equipment that has not obtained Giteki certification, but if you use a wireless connection, please do so at your own responsibility.
Additional Information
The act of selling a product that has not obtained Giteki certification in Japan is not itself prohibited.
