There are 2 major changes from the T16. Acrylic panel layer 1 has chamfered edges, making the areas likely to come into contact with your hands safer. The key switches have been changed to “Kailh Choc V2 Crystal,” which has a slightly lighter actuation force.
The buttons use 25.8mm keycaps. The spacing between buttons is wider than on typical leverless controllers, allowing comfortable operation with a relaxed hand position. Even people with large hands won't feel cramped.
Equipped with hot-swap functionality for easy key switch replacement. Easily swap in the key switches you prefer and pursue your ideal feel.
Features an OLED screen for checking input settings and modes, an EXT port for greater expandability, and M1/M2 custom keys. Connecting an authentication device such as MagicBoots to the EXT port also enables play on PS5.
The “HautePad T16-ProV2” is a leverless controller that offers multiple functions and customization at an accessible price.
However, its distinctive button layout is wider than that of conventional leverless controllers, so preferences vary depending on hand size.
The included Kailh Crystal switches have an appealingly light feel, but their travel is relatively long, so we recommend switching to the short-travel switches described below if you want a faster response.
As a low-priced product, it has some shortcomings, but its great value for money makes it an ideal first leverless controller.
These are recommended key switches for bringing out this product's potential. Discounted sets are also available.
Actuation point 1.2mm, total travel 2.8mm, actuation force 30gf. Very light, with excellent quietness. Its moderate travel also helps prevent accidental presses, making it a good choice for a first leverless controller.
Actuation point 0.8mm, total travel 2.0mm, actuation force 40gf. A key switch with excellent response speed. Its easy-to-press actuation force makes it a well-balanced key switch.
Actuation point 0.8mm, total travel 1.8mm, actuation force 37gf. A key switch with short travel and relatively light actuation force. Recommended for those seeking even greater speed.
