The top plate attaches magnetically. A template for customization is included, so you can easily change the artwork and enjoy a design of your own.
It has a structure that combines a metal base plate with a plastic enclosure. The acrylic top plate attaches magnetically and can be removed to change the artwork.
Equipped with hot-swap functionality for easy key switch replacement. Easily swap in the key switches you prefer and fine-tune the feel to your liking.
Features a tournament lock switch to prevent accidental inputs, an OLED screen for checking settings, and an EXT port for added expandability. Connecting an authentication device such as MagicBoots to the EXT port also enables play on PS5.
The frame structure provides excellent stability during use, and the gentle slope at the front is designed to make it easy to rest your hands.
The button layout has also been improved from the previous haute42 series. It is now closer to the layout of a typical leverless controller, and the lower-right button, which was somewhat difficult to press before, has been moved to a more natural position, improving usability.
The standard “Wind Engine” key switches use POM material and are notable for their very quiet keystroke sound. However, their travel is somewhat long, so those who prioritize usability or response speed are advised to replace them with short-travel switches.
The acrylic top plate is designed to be easy to remove, making it easy to change to your own original design. LED light rings around the buttons serve as decoration, but are primarily visual accents and offer little clear functionality as button frames.
It is a little disappointing that the button frames found on previous models are gone, but overall, this product has clearly evolved, with stable control and extensive customization options.
The “HautePad C16” is a model that has evolved considerably from the previous Haute42 series. Its frame structure greatly improves stability during play. The more standard button layout and gentle slope that lets you rest your wrists naturally provide comfortable control.
Customization is another strong point, with easy artwork changes using the magnetic top plate and key switch replacement via hot-swap. It achieves a high level of both a rigid body and the flexibility to adjust it to your preferences.
The standard key switches are quiet, but have relatively long travel, so replacement is recommended if you prioritize response speed. However, hot-swap functionality lets you address this, so it is not a major drawback. It will be a great option for players who want to build a controller of their own.

Actuation point 1.2mm, total travel 2.8mm, actuation force 30gf. Very light, with excellent quietness. Its moderate travel also helps prevent accidental inputs, making it a good choice for a first leverless controller.
Actuation point 0.8mm, total travel 2.0mm, actuation force 40gf. A key switch with excellent response speed. Its easy-to-press actuation force makes it a well-balanced key switch.
Actuation point 0.8mm, total travel 1.8mm, actuation force 37gf. A key switch with short travel and relatively light actuation force. Recommended for those who want to pursue even greater speed.
